A Chinese gouache and watercolor painting on paper mounted to a hanging scroll. The piece depicts two robed male figures standing along a river bank, below a rock topped with lush green foliage. It is inscribed to the upper right with black ink and is marked with two red seals. This work is mounted as a hanging scroll on paper embellished with silk gauze. It is weighted with a dowel and wooden knobs to the lower section and hangs with a ribbon affixed to the upper section.

Condition

- surface wear, edge wear and creasing to paper and painting from rolled storage; foxing and toning present, with small stains, markings and discoloration scattered throughout; water stain to exterior of scroll; item is presented as an unframed rolled scroll.
