A Chinese painting of a man and tree rendered with gouache on hanging scroll. This piece depicts a bearded man leaning the angled trunk of a twisted, leafless tree. There is a signature seal and block of calligraphic text toward the upper right of the painting, which is mounted with silk gauze on a paper backing, a rod to one end and a length of string to the top for hanging and tying.

Condition

- discoloration to ground; wrinkles to paper; some spots of accretion to verso; scuffs to finials.

- measures rolled; unrolled measures 34.5" W x 80.5" H; will arrive rolled in shipping tube.
