Antique Jackfield Staffordshire and Wedgwood Tea Service Pieces

A group of four antique Jackfield Staffordshire and Wedgwood serving pieces in the iconic black glossy glaze. There is a creamer, sugar and waste bowl made by Wedgwood which all have a band of fine stippling and floral motif through the center and an incised Wedgwood mark to the bottom. The larger creamer has a repeating floral design through the middle and an eagle finial to the handle, it is unmarked. This style of Jackfield Staffordshire was made as an affordable alternative for those who could not afford to purchase Wedgwood’s Basalt Tea Wares but desired to own fashionable black tea wares which Wedgwood designed to make women’s hands appear whiter when serving tea.
