A drink stand with a tile top titled Tea For Two by Mary Lou Higgins (American, 1926-2012). The wooden, brown-painted frame is embellished with black linework and floral motifs. It features a triangular top inset with a glazed, ceramic tile and backed by an arched gallery. The white tile is decorated with two robed, female figures set against an abstracted background in shades of blue-green. The stand rises on three straight legs ending in abruptly-curved, tapered feet. The tile is signed ‘Mary Lou Higgins’ and dated ‘1987’ while the underside of the top is inscribed ‘Tea For Two / Mary Lou Higgins / 1987’.

- ceramic tile with some light crazing throughout as well as a light crack starting just above the artist’s signature and running to the face of the nearest figure; rear gallery with a couple repairs and subsequent overpainting just above the two back legs; frame with a few minor marks.
