19th Century Parian Pitcher with Wheat Shafts by Samuel Alcock
Item Details
A 19th-century Parian pitcher in blue and white by Samuel Alcock. The tall pitcher is sculpted with pale blue shafts of wheat in low relief on a white ground with a faux bois handle. Stamped to the bottom Patent Saml Alcock with a regal crest and the #231. Parian is a bisque porcelain that was developed in the late 19th century to imitate white marble.
