19th Century Blue Willow Covered Vegetable Dish

A 19th century covered vegetable dish in the charming blue and white transferware pattern Willow, illustrating the lover’s cottage with willow tree, crooked fence and doves. The pattern was first introduced in Staffordshire, England in 1784 and is thought to be the longest pattern ever in production The deep dish has a domed lid with finial, it is marked under glaze ‘Made in Great Britain, Willow’.

Condition

- there are two hair line cracks to the uderside
- the dish is crazed and slightly discolored
