A collection of ink drawings by contemporary artist Bill Schiffer. These drawings include a variety of compositional structures and styled including a piece which consists of rows of tightly compressed written numbers, a political cartoon, a ‘Happy New Year’ drawing with fingers crossed in the illustration, an abstract composition of ‘The Store Upstairs’ advertisement, and a non-objective piece featuring geometric and organic shapes. These pieces are signed to the lower right corner of their surfaces. They are presented unframed.

Born in New York, Bill Schiffer rose to prominence as a painter and sculptor in the early 1980s. Though he still works in many two dimensional and three dimensional art mediums, Schiffer is most well known for his unique handcrafted jewelry, which he started designing after a foray experimenting with wearable art in the fashion scene. Bill Schiffer’s art and jewelry has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as major museums in Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan.
