Vintage Empire Style Mottahedeh Yellow and Black Urn

A vintage Empire style Mottahedeh ceramic urn. The baluster form urn has high, curved handles on a socle pedestal base. The urn has a bright yellow glazed finish with transferred engraving scene of Provincial figures watching an outdoor play to the sides of the bowl. The base has a floral cartouche to each side with a lion figure to the center and there are hand decorated accent lines throughout. Marked ‘Italy’ to the bottom.

- gentle wear, minor scuffs and scratches.
