1910-1920 "United States Navy" Banner With Sewn On Letters
Item Details
A large antique ‘United States Navy’ felt banner or pennant. Representing the ‘United States Navy,’ this advertising military banner retains its original blue tassels. There is a large forty-eight-star cloth American flag applied to this banner. Under the flag, there is an image of a bulldog mascot which may be a tribute to the ‘United States Marines’ or Yale University. In the colors of gold, blue, and white, this banner commemorates the ‘United States Navy’ from 1912 to World War II.
