A 19th century Staffordshire bi-color covered vegetable dish, made in England by T. Mayer in the pattern Canova. The red and green transferware pattern illustrating a canal landscape with gondola, classic architecture and an urn. The domed lid displays the same pattern with a floral finial. Appropriately marked to the bottom.

- interior well is discolored and overall crazing
