A Japanese ink wash landscape painting on silk paper. It depicts a hillside village with mountains in the background in hues of grey, blue, and a hint of soft clay. Calligraphy appears in the upper right and there are two red artist stamps are present. The painting is presented with a grey matte tipped in gilt and framed in wood with a gilt finish. To the verso is a label which reads, ‘Distinctive Framing Kato Tokyo’

Condition

Some finish loss to the frame. Minor marking throughout.
