A set of three vintage serigraph prints on paper by well-listed American artist Harry Shokler (1896-1978). Each depicts sunny Americana winter scenes in quiet country hills. All pieces are signed in plate to the lower corners. Presented behind white mats and glass in wood frames.
Harry Shokler (1896-1978) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Yiddish speaking Russian immigrant parents. He enrolled at the Cincinnati Art Academy and later at the School of Fine and Applied Art in NYC. While best known as a painter influenced by French landscape painter Jerome Blum, he also was a printmaker of etchings and engravings created under the auspices of the W.P.A. Art Project.
