A 1983 serigraphic New Orleans Jazz Festival poster by New Orleans artist and designer Hugh Alvin Ricks (1939-2005). This poster promotes the 1983 Jazz and Heritage Festival celebration in New Orleans. It depicts a female figure playing the tambourine rendered with stylized expressive features and vibrant hues of color. This piece is signed in-plate ‘Hugh Ricks’ to the lower right corner of the picture plane and is editioned ‘10,264/12,500’. It is presented in a metal frame, under glass, with a wire hanger to the verso.

- some dirt between glass and image paper; gold tone metal frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
