Thai Acrylic Painting of Royal Barge Procession
Item Details
A Thai acrylic painting on cloth of the Royal Barge Procession. This painting depicts a group of figures adorned in conical headdresses lined along an ornate Suphannahong boat, as they row in unison to glide across patterned waves with a temple seen in the distance. This ceremony is normally done to the tune of drums, and takes the rowers across the Chao Phraya River. The unsigned painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a stained wooden frame with an ornate bracket affixed to the verso for hanging.

- debris beneath glass; wear and scratches on edges of frame; backing paper punctured at top left on verso of frame.
