Chinese Lacquer Tray of Togetherness and Other Serveware

A selection of Chinese serveware. Featured in this group is a lacquer ‘Tray of Togetherness.’ It has an octagonal form with nine removable dishes to the inside, which are traditionally filled with fruits, nuts and other sweets during the Chinese new year celebrations. The lid is embellished with a circular design of inlaid abalone shell. Also included is an Imari style porcelain serving bowl, which is marked with a character mark to the underside.
