19th Century English Hand Painted Oval Vanity Mirror

Item Details

A 19th century English hand painted oval vanity mirror. The wood frame is glazed with a dark ivory and has a painted laurel leaf design. The top of the frame is crowned with an applied wood garland featuring green roses and the the center is topped with a green painted wood urn. The back of the frame shows some ‘worming’ indicative of age. Cut -out painted wood easel back and small loop hook hardware applied to the back of the mirror.

Condition

Overall in good to fair shape. The urn has a spilt in the center and there is some paint loss on the frame. Consistent with age and use.
