A vintage, hand knotted Persian Bijar area rug. This wool rug features a center medallion and pendants on a lozenge-shaped field in a palette of scarlet, teal, powder blue, navy, sage, gray and cream. The field is bounded by powder blue spandrels and surrounded by a samovar major border within barber pole minor borders with tan fringe to the far ends. The rug is tagged underneath.
