German Grandfather Clock
Item Details
A German grandfather clock. The clock features a walnut case with a hand rubbed finish. The clock has a curved bonnet that sits above a glass front door with a moon phase clock displaying a blue backdrop with an embossed brass moon and stars. Other features of the clock include a brass face with a silver-tone metal dial accented with an etched floral design and raised gold-tone Arabic numbers and serpentine hands set on an embossed scrollwork center with scrollwork spandrels in the corners. The clock has an arched, glass-paneled front door with a brass frame on the center that displays an embossed brass pendulum and cylinder style weights. The clock has a block style base with inset wood panels, a scalloped skirt and stands on bracket feet. There are no apparent makers marks.
