Antique William & Mary Style Oak Spice Chest, Circa 1700
Item Details
An early 18th century spice chest, in oak, having an over-hanging top, above a coffer paneled door with wrought iron pull and diamond-shaped, trimmed panel. This William & Mary style cabinet features a door with a side hook latch, opening to a fitted interior with nine drawers, each with drop-pendant pull. The back has three lateral planks, secured by hand wrought, rose-head nails. The four turned feet appear to be later replacements. Circa 1690-1720.
