A collection of East Asian artwork. Featured is a Japanese unsigned mixed media work on paper, utilizing a combination of watercolor and cut paper to depict a bearded male figure in pattered robes pointing toward a sign above him. It is matted and presented under glass, fitted with hanging string to the verso; the backing includes a red stamp. Also included are two Korean carved wooden polychrome figures depicting a couple in colorful robes. The works feature painted embellishments in green, blue, red and yellow; no signature or maker’s marks were found.

Condition

- discoloration, toning and warping to paper ground and matting, with stains and accretion present; significant edge wear and scuffing to matting; wear, scratches, nicks, staining and scuffs to wooden figures, with areas of media loss.
