A hand-tufted Indian style wool area rug. This intricately detailed rug is rendered in a palette of black, ivory, mahogany, apricot, saffron, olive, taupe, and sand. The black hued field begins with a large round floral themed medallion, while featuring scrolling flowering vines, and enclosed with palmettes serving as vases with ornate arrangements. Framing the field is a paneled main border of similar motifs, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug is a cotton binding and backing. This rug is most likely made by Nourison, as it coordinates with the rug found at item number 18DEN030-138 and 081.
