An early to mid 20th-century hand-embellished lithograph on paper titled Flower Girl in Holland after artist George Hitchcock. The Impressionist-inspired work depicts a Dutch girl with baskets of colorful flowers, set against a pastoral country landscape of green fields and a blue canal. The image is signed in plate to the lower left. It is matted in tan and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration, toning and foxing to print and matting; notable wear to frame with cracks, loose joints, scuffing, flaking paint and scratching throughout; screw with exposed edges embedded diagonally into top left frame corder; wear, discoloration and tears to backing paper.
