A four volume History of Kentucky set, published by The S.J. Clarke Publishing Company, Chicago and Louisville, 1928. Volume 1, which covers pre-1803 history, is by Temple Bodley, lawyer and historian; Volume 2, which covers 1803-1928, is by Samuel Wilson, historian. Volumes 3 and 4 are both biographical and genealogical. The illustrations in all volumes are in black and white and include numerous portraits. The books are bound in half leather with marble covers, with green marbled endpapers and gilt lettering between the five bands on the spine.

Overall in good shape consistent with age.
Volume I has some leather loss with some separation at the spine and marble paper loss. Volume II has some leather loss at the top and bottom of the spine. Volume III and IV has some leather loss at the front corner. All Volumes are a bit dusty
