A Central African carved wood male power figure in the style of those traditionally made by the Bembe people. The work likely originates from Zaire, or the Democratic Republic of Congo. The figure is seated on a carved stool, in the position of a chief or powerful figure. The piece is ornately carved and adorned with beads and shells. The piece is marked with a tag from Africa House in Denver, Colorado.

- dust present throughout surface of figure; wear/residue to cloth around figure; minor fraying to necklace around figure.
