An authentic and genuine 1966 ‘3rd State (peeled) Stereo #2 (Scranton, PA plant) Butcher Cover of Yesterday and Today by The Beatles on Capitol Records with catalog number ST-2553 and original company inner sleeve. The bottom right hand corner of the back cover contains a ’2’ indicating that this particular stereo copy was pressed in Scranton, PA. The mono copies of this album at the time of release outnumbered the stereo version presented here 10:1, making this one of the most highly sought after Beatles’ vinyl collectibles. It was available on store shelves for one day, June 20, 1966, before being recalled by Capitol Records. Newspaper clippings regarding the rarity of this record are also included. Additionally this piece includes a certificate of authenticity from TheButcherCover.com dated 1/12/18.
