A pair of limited edition plates by Edna Hibel. Included is the first of ‘The Nobility of Children’ series titled La Contessa Isabella which is mounted onto a suede blue mat and framed in a narrow cherry wooden moulding. It is edition number 2,964 of 12,750. The plate is by Rosenthal. The unframed plate depicts a mother and child, Sara and Tess, number 4103 from the ‘Edna Hibel Mother’s Day Plate’ series of 1988. The plate is created in layers of pigment and 18K gold.
