A sterling silver flatware set by Towle Silversmiths. These are in the Harold E. Nock designed Old Master pattern, first introduced in 1942, which features a scrolled and floral accented handle. The eighty-four piece set includes nine dinner forks, twelve salad forks, thirteen teaspoons, four soup spoons, eight iced tea spoons, eight cocktail forks, eight demitasse spoons, a master butter knife, four butter spreaders, a sugar spoon, two serving spoons, a meat fork, and a ladle, all marked ‘Towle Sterling’ to the backs of their handles. They are presented with nine dinner knives, a pie server, and a carving fork and knife set that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. The set is presented in a wooden flatware chest with brown felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives, pie server, and carving fork and knife set, is 74.980 ozt.
