A pair of carved wooden masks in the style of the Chokwe people and culture of Central and Southern Africa. The masks depict ovular human faces with open mouths, narrow slits for eyes, and delicately carved designs on the foreheads. The masks feature elaborate hairstyles, one of mask is seen with its hair pulled back and accented with a row of shells, the other features loose tendrils. This handcrafted selection is unmarked.
