A woodblock print titled Black Horse by Japanese artist Tomikichirō Tokuriki (徳力富吉郎, 1902-2000) with a relief rubbing of tigers. The woodblock depicts the titular horse rearing slighting on its hind legs, a wild look in its eye, and features a pair of signature seals to its lower left, while the rubbing is rendered in red and depicts a pair of big cats within a wide patterned boarder. Both are presented under glass in black frames and have hanging wires to their versos.
Condition
- minor amounts of scuffing and scratching to the frames; mild toning and mat burn to the works; minor tears to the paper backings; hanging wire is broken to the verso of the equine print.
