A Miao embossed metal headdress. The unlined, silver tone metal headdress originates from the people of the Guizhou Valley in South China. It features a sculptural stylized natural element to the crown, accented with conical drops. The sloped crown is accented with pressed metal pieces depicting skulls, human or spirit figures and fish. These lead to a band of octagonal medallions with raised floral designs.
