The bowl features incised figurative decoration to the interior and exterior including depictions of male and female figures in Victorian dress placed in village scenes. It features a green semi-translucent gloss glaze over a white under glaze on an earthenware clay body. The piece is signed ‘Italy 633 The Walter Hatches’ to the underside.
