1857 Multi-Volume Set of "Waverley Novels" by Walter Scott

An antique set of Waverley Novels by Walter Scott. This set includes a total of forty-two volumes, marked as Household Edition and published by Ticknor and Fields of Boston in 1857. Each book is presented in a leather bound cover with gilt lettering to the spine and marble patterned edges. Also included is a copy of Joshua: A Story of Biblical Times by Georg Ebers, published by D. Appleton and Company of New York in 1893. This book is presented in a three-quarter leather bound cover with marble patterned boards.
