Item Details
A vintage copper clad Columbus clock by Robt. Johns of Chicago. This novelty mantel clock depicts a 15th century sailing ship being ridden by Christopher Columbus. The ship is positioned on a grassy shore, where several figures await it’s arrival. The analog clock face is housed behind glass in the ship’s largest sail, and features a winding mechanism to the verso. A plaque at the center of the base reads ‘1492’. The clock is marked in-mold on the verso ‘Robt. Johns Chicago’.
