A 1999 limited edition Royal Doulton ‘Celsius and Fahrenheit’ Toby jug with a built-in thermometer. This jug modeled by William K. Harper features the depiction of astronomer Anders Celsius who created a temperature scale reverse to the scale now known by his name sitting alongside pioneer of exact thermometry Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit. Each man holds one side of the plaque for a round, white-faced, analog thermometer. The maker’s information is printed on the underside, along with the model number D7143, and the piece number 0084/2500. The original box and a certificate of authenticity are included.
