Jameson Whiskey Early 1900s Matchstriker

Item Details

An early Twentieth century John Jameson’s Whiskey ceramic match striker. The item has a stamp on the bottom that reads, ‘James Green & Nephew Designers Manufacturers LONDON’. The item has black lettering with a gilded trim around the two sections that are back-to-back, the middle section is made to hold a box/book of matches. ‘John Jameson’s Whiskey’, ‘Ask For John Jameson’s Whiskey’ and ‘JJ&S.’ is in black lettering in various sections of the match striker. A box of ‘Bull & Bear’ matches are included.

Condition

- crazing throughout; a crack from the under the base and up the rim
- partial transfer loss in the lettering
