The underneath is labeled Boehm Edward Marshall Boehm Studio The Great Egret The Official Porcelain Sculpture honoring the symbol of the National Audubon Society Below this is the stamped National Audubon Symbol (Egret) with An Exclusive Numbered Edition Signed by Mrs. Helen F. Boehm and Number 411. Boehm Porcelain was started by Edward Marshall Boehm (1913-1969), an American sculptor most known for the porcelain birds and wildlife sculptures he created, promoted by his equally well-known spouse, Helen Boehm. Together, the two founded E.M. Boehm Studios. Works created in the studio are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the studio is known for its fine and elegant sculptural work owned by museums, royalty and celebrities worldwide.
