A Carl Forslund American mantel clock. The clock is a carriage style with a country cottage design and features a cherry wood case with other hardwoods and veneers. The clock creates a distinct impression with a handcrafted glass front door that has a reverse painted design consisting of gold-tone flowers and bows against a blue backdrop with gold-tone trim. The door displays an antique white face with black Roman numerals, black hands, and an embossed silver-tone decorative center. Other features of the clock include a Lanshire movement, electrical cord and the clock stands on a scalloped base with round feet. The clock is marked “Carl Forslund’ ‘Quaint American Furniture’ on the verso.
