A gouache painting on paper by listed American artist Neil Mitchill (1858-1934). This seascape painting is indicative of the work of Mitchell, who was best known for his marine and landscape paintings. The painting depicts white capped waves churning violently near a rocky coastline. The work is signed to the lower left corner. It is presented under glass in a gold tone frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

- water damage to paper backing; some discoloration to frame; abrasions and chipping to frame particularly along upper edge.
