A power-loomed Egyptian Ariana area rug by Oriental Weavers. This Persian Bakhtiari-style rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, taupe, navy, sand, wheat, slate blue, and sage. The paneled field features an array of floral, tree, and niche motifs, while framed in an ornately designed medallion and flower patterned main border. There are also guard borders in a cartouche and star pattern, along with meandering minor borders. Finishing this rug are serged edges and bound ends, as well as a label to the underside.
