A 1970 limited edition abstract serigraph_Untitled 1_ by listed artist Walter Heinz Allner (New York/France/Germany, 1909 – 2006). This abstract print is composed of multiple colorful geometric shapes and black lines against a white background. This piece is illegibly signed and marked A.P. for Artist’s Proof by hand in graphite to the lower margin. This print is presented in a white mat and in an acrylic glass box frame. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.
Allner studied at the German Bauhuas School under some of the leading figures of the Modernist movement, including Josef Albers, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. He went on to become a noted graphic designer and art director, spending twelve years as an influential art director at Fortune magazine.
