Hand-Knotted Signed Bokhara Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted signed Bokhara wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of carnelian, navy blue, ivory, buff, and azure. The carnelian colored field features a row of elephant’s foot guls enclosed by partial chemche guls, and widely framed in a main kochak medallion patterned border, along with a pair of ashik patterned guard borders. The ends of the rug feature a diamond latticed elem panel, while one end shows an inscription. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a knotted wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
