Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abashed palette of apricot, plum, ivory, carnation, cranberry, sky blue, gold, black and walnut. The apricot hued field begins with a curled leaf framed layered lobed diamond pendant medallion with coordinating spandrels, all infilled with a stylized herati pattern. Framing the field is a main samovar border, along with a pair of carnation meander guard borders, and running water minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
