A reproduction figure in cast bronze titled Icarus after listed French artist Jean Pierre Masier (1878 – 1957). The piece depicts the mythical Greek figure wearing feathered wings, a loincloth, a headdress and a dagger at his hip. He is depicted standing on a rocky surface and gazing at the sky. The work is rendered in shades of patinated bronze and signed ‘Masier’ in mold to the rocks. It rests on a square black marble plinth with beveled edge.
