Antique French Sculptural Mantel Clock

Item Details

A circa late 19th century French mantel clock, with a reddish stone case, topped by a cast brass figure of a woman holding up a wreath, titled ‘Les Arts’ and signed ‘Ruchot’. The body of the piece features brass accents and feet, and a circular glass door over the face. The clock has a pendulum mechanism, which was unable to be tested because the pendulum provided is too long. Marked ‘Paris’ to an interior piece.

Condition

- untested; one foot slightly loose; discoloration to brass consistent with age.
