Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Qom wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, eggplant, azure, ivory, rose, gold, and powder blue. The cranberry colored field begins with a central lobed pendant medallion with coordinating spandrels, and features scrolling leafy and flowering vines throughout with added palmettes. Framing the field is a main herati patterned border, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders, and a blossom and lappet patterned border as well. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
