Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Arak wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, indigo, scarlet, sapphire, rose, clementine, mocha, wheat, sepia, and lime. The ivory colored field begins with a large floral themed pendant medallion, and features sprays, and blooms placed throughout. The field also features deep sapphire and wheat grounded spandrels with similar ornately detailed floral motifs, and scalloped edges. Framing the field is a main border designed with alternating floral sprays, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
