Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Najafabad Isfahan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, sky blue, navy, silver, saffron, teal, walnut, and olive. The ivory colored field begins with an ornately designed floral themed pendant medallion with coordinating spandrels grounded in silver and sky blue, and features an all-over shah abbasi pattern. Framing the field is an equally elaborate main stylized herati border, along with floral meander guard borders, and running water minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
