A vintage hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool area rug. This hunting rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of rose, mauve, slate, emerald, and mocha. The rose hued field features ornately detailed animals accompanied with scrolling floral and foliate motifs symmetrically placed. Framing the field is a main border with a stylized herati pattern with added blooms, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders and sawtooth minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
