Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug offers a center star medallion resting on a heavily populated field. It features a herati pattern worked in powder blue, caramel, indigo, honey, tawny, cream and ivory. Framing the field are multiple carnation meander guard borders, a Samovar minor border and a main border repeating the field pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with ivory warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
