A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool room size rug. This beautiful rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, sky blue, indigo, turquoise, coral, wheat, and aqua. The crimson colored field begins with a floral themed pendant medallion accompanied by intricately detailed bouquets and vase forms, along with deep layered scrolling spandrels. The floral theme follows to the stylized herati patterned main border with added vases and blooms, along with the floral meander guard borders, and multiple meandering minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
